Social Skills Group for
Children Dealing with Autism

Not all children make friends easily. Some individuals struggle to develop and maintain childhood friends, despite their efforts at interacting with others.

A high quality Social Skills Group will aid children in developing skills necessary to make and maintain quality friendships with peers. Research has indicated that having at least one best friend can improve a child's self-esteem, problem-solving skills, and can reduce the effects of stress.

Our 8-week class is led by licensed professional counselors and is designed to help children, ages 5-18, develop age-appropriate, same-sex friendships. We also offer a corresponding parent group that equips parents with valuable tools to also help their children succeed in the social world. Call us at 614.888.9200 to find out more about our social skills group for children dealing with autism.
