Sue Mocniak
BSW, MSW, LSW



Sue earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Capital University and her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University. She has worked in the mental health field for 14 years, most recently transferring from administrative and business roles to clinical and therapeutic services. Spanning the course of her degree programs, Sue accumlated nearly 2000 hours with a wide range of clients with diverse issues in a variety of settings, including her graduate level internship with Directions Counseling Group. 

Sue's desire is to help clients realize and achieve their full potential by empowering them through the therapeutic process to discover their strengths and resources. Sue knows that choosing counseling is a courageous first step towards change and understands that moving forward in life often involves overcoming adversity, tragedy, injustice and sometimes seemingly insurmountable odds. Through this process, she uses an eclectic therapeutic approach allowing clients the opportunity to see their self, their relationships and their life with renewed perspective as they learn new skills and discover existing ones.
