Human Resources Generalist

Full-Time (32+ hours) 


We are seeking an HR leader who is familiar with many HR generalist responsibilities such as organizational development, employee relations, benefits, team building and compensation oversight.  This individual will provide leadership in HR related issues.  He/she must demonstrate an ability to work independently, relying on previous work experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

This person must have the ability to multi-task and the capacity to learn semi-complex software quickly.  Attention to detail, flexibility, and data entry accuracy is a must while working in this fast paced mental health environment.

Confidence, maturity, and flexibility are vital to success in this role.  He/she will report directly to the COO.



  • Experience with recruiting and new hire orientation
  • Proficiency in payroll/benefit management
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and business reporting requirements
  • Experience and/or education in medical or mental health field working in a human resources capacity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Agreement with mission, values and philosophy of Directions Counseling Group
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook


  • Experience in policy/procedure writing
  • Familiarity with form management and development
  • College degree
  • 2-4 years supervisory or office management experience
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records

Clinical Positions

Independently Licensed Contracting Counselor / Social Worker/Psychologist/Psychiatrist

Each of our providers are independently licensed contractors who provide a wide range of services.  We welcome resumes from master’s degree clinicians who provide alcohol/drug assessments as well as substance abuse counseling, counseling for domestic violence and/or men’s issues (e.g. – work stress, relationship problems, pornography addiction, etc.).  In addition, we would like to extend our services to offer psychiatry and psychological testing.  Marketing and self-promotion would be required.

All providers must hold a degree from an accredited program and be licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapy Board.  At least five years clinical experience required.   Substance Abuse Credential such as CDCA, LCDCI, II, III, LICDC, or SAP preferred. Supervisory status a plus.

Flexible hours; strong teamwork skills; able to work in an environment requiring a high degree of independence. Agreement with mission, values and philosophy of Directions Counseling Group.
