More About Kendra – MSW, LISW-S

Kendra is an independently licensed social worker who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Kendra has been working in the behavioral health field since 2004, and has extensive training to help individuals with trauma, mood stabilization, anxiety, adjustment/transitional issues, substance abuse, and behavioral concerns. She has also worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and learning disorders.

Having previously worked in residential treatment, foster care/adoption and educational settings, Kendra is passionate about strengthening the whole family in order to help support the child.  Her goal is to help the parents/caregivers develop tools and approaches that they can use outside of counseling, allowing them to see themselves as healthy role models for the betterment of the family system.

Kendra commonly uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Narrative Therapy.  She will also incorporate art, play, movement, and mind-body awareness techniques to help children become more aware of themselves, their situations and their surroundings.

Kendra has a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Capital University, and a Master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University.
