More About Susan – DMin, MA, LPC, CAMS

Susan earned her Doctor of Ministry degree in Formational Counseling and her Master of Arts in Mental Health Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.  Susan specializes in the treatment of codependency, women’s issues, compulsive behaviors, childhood trauma and spiritual direction.  Susan is also a Certified Anger Management Specialist and leads our on-going Anger Management Group.  This group fulfills the requirements for court-ordered anger management education, but is also attended by those who choose to take this step on their own.

Exploring life’s heartaches in a safe therapeutic environment is Susan’s goal. These heartaches may have their origin in an emotionally abusive childhood.  They may also present themselves as a result of traumatic adolescent or adult wounding.  Due to Susan’s past traumatic experiences and healing from poor coping skills, she has focused much of her training on trauma recovery and codependency.

Susan also has experience working with people who have undergone divorce or who have never married.  She understands the emotional and spiritual issues faced when walking a path of singleness.  Susan comprehends and embraces the value of a healthy relationship and is pleased to come along side others who are seeking healing.

Susan is on the following insurance panels: OhioHealthy Optima, Cigna, Aetna, Ohio Health Connect and some Medical Mutual plans.
