In-person mental health therapy can be an essential part to achieving mental and emotional well-being. In today’s fast-paced and digitally driven society, it’s easy to overlook the profound benefits of in-person therapy. While online therapy has become increasingly popular, there are essential aspects to face-to-face sessions that are difficult to replace through a screen.
One of the foundational elements of successful therapy is the development of trust and rapport between the therapist and the client. In-person therapy provides a space where genuine, non-verbal cues play a significant role in building this crucial connection.
Therapists can also respond swiftly and effectively when clients are experiencing acute distress, providing them with safety and necessary support that is challenging when remote with a delayed internet connection.

What do the therapy rooms look like?
Upon arriving, you’ll probably notice an atmosphere different from the traditional office setting. Tucked away in a wooded development behind Highbanks Metro Park, we’re surrounded by mature trees, a peaceful pond, and soothing waterfall. With a small path through the woods and a couple seating areas, our clients are welcome to reflect pre- or post-session and enjoy the nature that surrounds our facility.
With contemporary art and furnishings, calming music, and natural light filling the therapy rooms, we offer a comfortable and inviting environment that encourages relaxation and introspection.
What if I can’t make it to my therapy session?
We understand life happens and things come up. In case you’re unable to attend your in-person therapy session, please call (614) 888-9200 to speak with a Client Relationship Coordinator. They can provide you with options for how you’d like to move forward:
- Change your in-person session to an online session
- Reschedule your appointment
- Cancel the session all together
Please refer to the “Cancellation Policy” in your client portal to understand late cancellations or no-show fees.
What to expect if it’s my first time

Feel free to help yourself at the coffee bar and make yourself at home. If you happen to have any questions, our front desk team will be happy to assist you.
If you or a loved one is seeing child therapist, feel free to leave the main lobby and walk up the stairs to the second floor. This will take you to the Child Center where your child therapist will meet you.
