Overview
Whether you are new to medications or seeking a new provider to manage your medications, we are here to help.
Recently we added a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to create a more comprehensive treatment option using psychiatric medication management.
What is medication management?
Medication management is a collaborative effort between you and your mental health care provider.
If you see a counselor at our practice or another practice, you can sign a release form that allows your clinician to work side by side with the PMHNP.
We strive to understand what is taking place emotionally, physically, and even relationally.
What to expect?
Prior to attending a meeting with our PMHNP, you will complete an intake form that includes existing medications and/or supplements, any adverse reactions to medications, your primary concerns, and your goals.
During the session, our PMHNP will help you understand the purpose of each medication, how they interact with other medications, and discuss what outcomes you should expect with various medications.
Our primary goal is to improve your mental health.
Initial consultations are approximately one-hour and follow-up sessions are approximately 30 minutes.
